W2412: Susan Fisher - Introduction to Basic Encaustic Techniques and Photo Transfer
This is a wonderful opportunity to learn encaustic techniques from a master of her craft. Susan Fisher has taught at the Haliburton School of Art & Design or over twenty years, as well as in numerous galleries in Ontario. Although she has worked and taught in a variety of mediums, her passion for over 20 years is with Beeswax Encaustic techniques. “I absolutely love the luminosity, textures and expressions Encaustic allows. It is simply a medium like no other.”
Basic techniques and studio safety will be taught during the 2 days of this workshop. We will explore layering, texturing, colour properties and mixing, scraping, collaging and photo transfer.
